Green Hills British Kindergarten

At Green Hills British Kindergarten we believe that the quality of education in a child's early years is the key to their future academic progress.

The teaching in Nursery, Reception and 5 Year - Old Classes are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

The six curriculum areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage cover the main areas of young children's development. These are:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication, Language and Literacy
  • Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World
  • Physical Development
  • Creative Development

During these foundation years we aim to introduce the areas of learning through stimulating and challenging experiences. Throughout the Early Years we base the learning and play activities on the children's existing skills and interests. We carefully structure the work to help children develop new skills and build new relationships.

In addition to the above learning areas, the children also enjoy 30 minutes of violin lessons a week with an opportunity for additional lessons if required. The children learn the violin using the ‘Suzuki’ method – please speak to our music teacher for more details.

We also offer extensive extra-curricular activities. These include Yoga, Music, Theatre, Modern Dance, Aikido, Games and Cooking.
